The youngest of Los Angeles County's 88
incorporated cities, Calabasas anticipates substantial economic growth in the coming
years. Helping to preserve our city's heritage of being "The Last of the Old
West," we recently completed an extensive streetscape renovation of Old Town
Calabasas. We await the opening of the 76-acre Calabasas Park Centre this fall, a
development which will include an outdoor retail center ("The Common"), an
office park and hotel. The City Council also plans to construct a new Civic Center at this
site, containing a City Hall, a library and other community facilities. Finally, we
look forward to completion of the 72-acre business center in the Lost Hills area.
